Rebecca Wallace

St. Andrews State Park

Rebecca first visited St. Andrews State Park at the age of 3. Growing up near the Smoky Mountains, Rebecca quickly gained an affinity for being outside in nature. She would spend time with her grandfather, a White Oak basket maker, as he would search the woods for materials used in his trade. Rebecca’s family frequently traveled to the Florida panhandle where she gained a love for the white quartz sand and emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Upon retirement, Rebecca sought to continue to explore the great outdoors and give back while also working to maintain Florida’s natural resources so that they might be enjoyed by future generations. This led her to purchase an RV and begin an adventure as a volunteer in Florida state parks.

Serving as a Camp Host, Rebecca spends her days at St. Andrews State Park helping campers and working to maintain the park facilities. She takes great pride in providing park visitors with a positive and memorable experience - just like the experiences she has had at St. Andrews throughout her life.

Working with a team of volunteers, Rebecca thoroughly enjoys the camaraderie of her fellow Camp Hosts while volunteering in a place that she has loved her whole life.
