Gene & Annelise Carlson

Falling Waters State Park

When it comes to the Falling Waters State Park volunteer family, the Carlson’s immediately come to mind. All the way from South Dakota, Gene and Annelise Carlson began camping in Kentucky and have made their way to sunny Florida. They have been with the Florida Parks' Volunteer Program for three years and have come to love Falling Waters as one of their homes. The Carlson’s can easily take the lead with any task given to them and complete it with no difficulty, always completing any project they are working on in a timely manner.

When asked about their volunteer service goals Annelise said, "We want to give back and really like seeing others making camping memories." Gene added "We want to make other peoples’ camping experience the best it can be."  Park staff boast that these two make Falling Waters State Park a better place and their everyday work life at Falling Waters easier… and for that, we thank you!
