Volunteer Spotlight, Dee Green

Dee Green in Ranger Station

Dee Green

Three Rivers State Park

Born in Miami and then growing up in Sarasota, Dee Green is native Floridian. Dee and her husband, Bob wanted a change and a good learning experience by starting something new in their lives. North Florida became the destination, volunteering became their goal, and Three Rivers was their first stop of many. Dee and husband Bob volunteer at many Florida State Parks each year, including Torreya State Park and Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park.  Both Dee and Bob have each served nearly 14,000 hours to Florida State Parks!

Dee says Three Rivers is home and that it's like a family to them: from the annual Christmas light displays to greeting visitors in the ranger station and having pot luck dinners. Spring is when Dee likes to volunteer; its her favorite time of the year, especially when the wildflowers are in bloom. If you stop by the ranger station in spring, your sure to be greeted by Dee.
