Volunteer Spotlight, Bill Johnson

Volunteer

Bill Johnson

Bill's has always loved being outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and just enjoying the wildlife. He's lived in the Florida Panhandle for five years and  volunteers at Ochlockonee River State Park and Bald Point State Park, working both in the field and doing maintenance - he helps out with everything!

Bill got his start as a volunteer when he was referred by a ranger, and he keeps coming back to the parks because of the people and friendships he has made. He enjoys the river and hiking and his favorite part about his volunteer position is working with the park staff and visitors.  Bill says “I will work at the park as long as I am able” and we all hope that Bill stays with us for a long time.
