Park Services Specialist, Carrie Miska
Meet Carrie Miska, the newest employee at Hontoon Island State Park. She has worked at several state parks throughout Florida and is full of enthusiasm for her new position as the park services specialist. Carrie is looking forward to learning new skills while working at Hontoon Island, including driving a ferry! She grew up spending time on the St. Johns River and is happy to get back to her roots.
She works as the volunteer coordinator ensuring that park volunteers love what they do and keep coming back for more. Carrie enjoys working alongside volunteers and her pleasant demeanor makes her a breeze to work with.
She also schedules events at the park and assists visitors in the ranger station. She will support the park in any way she can!
