Refill
Cheers to a Greener Tomorrow!
Florida State Parks is dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling and sustainable waste practices. Recycling means reducing our environmental impact and one way to do that is through the use of reusable water bottles #RefillOverLandfill. When you commit to #MakeTheSwitch to a reusable water bottle, you reduce waste and become a solution to pollution.
This year, Florida State Parks are celebrating Earth Day and encouraging visitors to #MakeTheSwitch by giving away refillable water bottles at the following parks:
- T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park
- Fort Clinch State Park
- Blue Spring State Park
- Lake Louisa State Park
- Koreshan State Park
- Hugh Taylor Birch State Park
- Henderson Beach State Park
- Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park
- Myakka River State Park
- Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park
Carrying a reusable water bottle is one small but powerful gesture that helps to protect our environment. It serves as a constant reminder of our commitment to reducing waste and it can inspire others to follow.
In the right hands, a reusable water bottle can become a beacon for change. That’s why our water bottles have a voice!

When you #MakeTheSwitch and someone asks you about your cool-looking bottle, it’s a chance to spread your message and talk about why you are ditching single-use plastics. So, spread the word – celebrate your choice to reduce waste by carrying your gear everywhere you go!
Together, we can make sustainability a natural part of our daily lives and protect our parks—and our planet—for future generations. Let’s refill, reduce and inspire positive change.
The Florida State Parks Foundation and Duke Energy Florida launched a collaboration to install 150 water bottle refilling stations at 98 state parks, promoting sustainability and reducing single-use plastic waste. Funded by a grant from Duke Energy and revenue from the Florida State Park Foundation’s specialty license plate, these stations encourage visitors to decrease single-use water bottles thrown away at landfills, along trails, at campsites, on beaches and in Florida's waterways while tracking the positive impact on waste reduction. These stations are strategically located throughout the state, from Destin to the Florida Keys. This initiative not only aims to protect Florida's natural resources but also fosters environmentally conscious practices among the millions of visitors who explore Florida State Parks.
