Cavern Tours

Cavern tour tickets are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and may be purchased in person at the Florida Caverns Gift Shop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Central) on the day of arrival. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early as tours sometimes sell out, especially on weekends and holidays. A limited number of online reservations may be made at FloridaCavernsGiftShop.com. For more information, contact the Florida Caverns Gift Shop or call 850-526-2650.

Hours

8 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. Cave tours are offered seven days a week from 9AM-4PM CST.

Welcome to Florida Caverns State Park

Cool air, the sound of dripping water, a visual array of mystifying stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones and draperies - this is what greets visitors when they explore the otherworldly depths of Florida Caverns.


Florida Caverns offers visitors a rarity in the state, a chance to explore stunning caves. While moving between the large underground rooms, one can observe the many chisel marks made by 1930s-era Civilian Conservation Corps workers.

These hard-working men enlarged the cave passageways by hand so visitors could stand upright during the guided tours. They also built the park’s spacious visitor center.

We are excited to welcome everyone to visit the awe-inspiring splendor of Florida Caverns State Park.

Geology of Florida Caverns

Florida Caverns is the only state park in Florida where visitors can take a guided tour through a large cave system and see spectacular examples of cave formations including stalactites, stalagmites, columns and flowstone.

Hurricane Recovery at Florida Caverns

Florida Caverns State Park lost more than 90% of its thick canopied forest in 2018 due to Hurricane Michael. Although a portion of the park remains closed, we are excited to announce that electricity has been restored to the tour cave.
