Volunteer Spotlight, Linda White
Linda White is the recipient of the 2022 Adult Volunteer of the Year for Visitor Services.
Linda’s love of history and antiques led her to Orman House Historic State Park when she moved to Apalachicola, Florida.
After donating some antiques to the park, Linda decided to volunteer her visual design and art skills to assist with the displays in the home.
While preparing for a preservation project, Linda was instrumental in helping properly store the collections inside the home. She searched all the donation documentation and arranged to return items on loan to the donors.
Linda worked closely with park employees and other volunteers to complete various tasks. She communicated very efficiently with everyone and made clear the goals and timelines that needed to be met in an orderly fashion.
Congratulations to Linda White. Her organizational skills and knowledge of antiques and collections are greatly appreciated.
