This group is the recipient of the 2023 Volunteer Award for Special Projects in Resource-based Recreation.
The Friends of Fakahatchee’s commitment to visitor services and support of park operations exceeds expectation. By offering a variety of programs the Friends have generated the funds from these events for an impressive new pole barn as well as the new pavilion at the Big Cypress Boardwalk site, among countless others.
