Irene DeLaby Award - 10,000 Hours Served
John has contributed his time, enthusiasm and skill to cataloging, digitizing and sharing the archival records of 20-plus Florida state parks. He created an index of searchable copies of early newspaper press books, making thousands of scanned images easy to research. He also used optical character recognition to create audio files of historic documents so researchers with visual impairments can listen.
