Mitch Bellock is a dedicated leader at Lovers Key State Park, embodying the core values of the Florida Park Service and the Department of Environmental Protection. His commitment to leadership, integrity and service is evident in everything he does, from mentoring new staff and volunteers to overseeing critical resource management and interpretive programs.
Recently promoted from Park Ranger to Park Services Specialist, Mitch now manages the park’s volunteer program, events and educational programs, ensuring visitors and volunteers alike have meaningful opportunities to engage with the park. His expertise in Resource Management and Interpretation allow him to create and lead impactful programs that enhance public understanding of the park’s ecosystems. New staff and volunteers frequently gain valuable insights from Mitch’s training, learning effective communication and stewardship techniques.
With a proactive approach and a dedication to high standards, Mitch not only elevates his own work but also inspires those around him. His ability to foster teamwork and mentorship has helped create a collaborative, motivated and knowledgeable environment at Lovers Key.
