Drew Stam
Working in a natural environment is rewarding for Drew.
He is a Florida native who grew up in DeLeon Springs. Drew chose to work with the Florida Park Service because the working environment cannot be beat.
He has always loved the outdoors, and as the years have passed, he has become more enamored with the patterns and systems that make up Florida’s natural communities. Drew had considered working with the park service in previous years and recently made it a reality. He enjoys learning about Hontoon Island and researching the cultural and natural resources. He also finds it rewarding to imagine the park’s history and previous uses.
Drew recommends that new visitors take a walk along the park trails. He advises them to take their time and observe nature.
Hontoon Island State Park is happy to have Drew on staff and appreciates his enthusiasm about the cultural and natural resources.
