October Events: Pumpkin Patches and Spooky Springs

From haunted trails to trick-or-treating, Florida State Parks are the best destination for Halloween fun.

You can take photos with silly scarecrows at Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park or go on a haunted tram ride at Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. From frights to laughs, there is Halloween fun for everyone in Florida State Parks

We’re looking forward to these creative fall events and hope you’ll join us.   

Events help fund state park operations and the protection of wildlife habitat, springs, beaches, historical sites and other park lands. Your park entrance fee supports events and program, ecological restoration and the preservation of Florida’s most beautiful places for future generations.

Garden Picture

Scarecrows in the Garden at Maclay

Come out and enjoy Maclay Gardens during the month of October where you will find scarecrows greeting you along the walkways.

Pumpkin Patch at Camp Helen

Over 1,000 pumpkins will make their way to the park to be sold throughout the month of October. The pumpkin patch makes a great fall backdrop for family photos, as well as an opportunity to further explore the park!
