Lynne Flannery, Park Manager

I was first inspired by the beauty and tranquility of Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area as I watched a full moon rise over the Atlantic Ocean on a crystal-clear evening back in 2012. Each day in the park continues to offer something new to discover and enjoy.

Experience time in and around the water by paddling through the peaceful marshes along the Intracoastal Waterway, feel the ocean’s energy as you ride a wave, or simply spend time recharging with your toes in the sand. Anglers of all ages enjoy throwing out a line on either side of the park in hopes of a blue, redfish or flounder taking the bait.

Discover the park's history, where keepers lived with their families in a House of Refuge, keeping watch to aid shipwrecked sailors or travelers in distress. Learn about treasured Florida folksinger Gamble Rogers, for whom the park is named.

I am grateful to help care for this slice of paradise along the coast and hope to help you and your family create new memories on your next visit.
