Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park is a beautiful place to hike, picnic and enjoy the outdoors. The park’s name refers to a geological feature where the St. Marks River descends below ground. Offering numerous recreational opportunities and rich in historical significance, this gem is just a short drive from Tallahassee, Florida.

After learning the park’s history, I highly recommend the 3-mile hike to Horn Spring. It’s a great way to see abundant wildlife. Horn Spring is a second-magnitude spring with cool, clear water flowing all year long.

Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park is a must-see for anybody interested in Florida’s history or ecology. Join us on the first full weekend in March for the annual Reenactment of the Battle of Natural Bridge where hundreds of volunteers interpret the past.

If you have questions about the park, wish to schedule a private tour or inquire about our numerous volunteer opportunities, please call the Tallahassee-St. Marks Administration Office at 850-487-7989.

I look forward to seeing you in the park!
