Kayak Trails at St. Lucie Inlet

Kayak Trail 1

When visiting St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park, make sure to check out the park’s kayak trail.

This trail is a great way to experience the best the park has to offer when it comes to beauty and solitude. The trail is 4.2 miles long and takes a leisurely three hours to  complete, meandering through mangrove estuaries and maritime hammocks where you can see the plant and animals that make their home at the park.

Wading birds such as blue heron, white ibis and snowy egrets are common along the trail, and there is a good chance you will view osprey flying overhead.

Make sure to stop at the south beach access point to park your kayak for a short walk over to the beautiful park beach.

If long stretches of pristine, isolated South Florida beach are what you are looking for, this is the spot for you! So grab your kayak and take a paddle at St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park’s kayak trail.

The park offers guided kayak tours and rentals on select dates. Contact the park office or check park events online for more details.
