Hiking and Biking Nature Trails at Bald Point

Hiking, Scenic, Flora, Fauna, Walking, Running

Bald Point State Park has five trail heads providing access to 18 miles of fabulous multi-use hiking and biking trails, organized into one-way and loop routes. Follow these trails for the experience of seeing coastal marshes, pine flatwoods and oak thickets that host a diversity of biological communities which make the park a popular place to visit.

Seasonal wildflowers bloom along the beach and can be seen from the hiking trails. Throughout the year, the varied landscape in Bald Point State Park supports more than 360 species of plants and 230 animal species, including fish, crabs, deer, bear, raccoon, bobcats, coyotes and opossums, and bird species from raptors to wrens.

Bald Point State Park has a well-deserved reputation as a top spot on the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail, with fall and winter being best seasons for birders to visit. In addition to catching a glimpse of bald eagles and other migrating raptors in the fall, you’re likely to see monarch butterflies as they head south for the winter.

You can explore the trails and bring your furry friends out for some outdoor time, as dogs are allowed on the trails but not on the beach.
