Boating & Fishing at Ochlockonee River

fishing, water, boating

Bring the family for an afternoon of tubing or skiing or just to ride the Ochlockonee River and take in the natural beauty of this undeveloped area.

Launch your boat from Ochlockonee River State Park's boat ramp for easy access to the Ochlockonee, Dead and Sopchoppy rivers as well as the many tidal creeks.

  • There is a $4 launch fee.

The brackish waters of the park provide excellent fresh and saltwater fishing. Anglers can fish from the shore or by boat to catch freshwater species such as largemouth bass, bream, catfish, snook and speckled perch. Redfish and speckled trout are common in the brackish and saltwater.

  • For convenience, a fish cleaning station is located at the boat ramp parking area.

A Florida freshwater fishing license is required for all persons 16 years of age or older. A saltwater fishing license is required for the taking of saltwater species.
