Lynn Bowen
Park Volunteer Lynn Bowen first visited Florida as a child and fell in love with all the nature and wildlife that Florida has to offer. Her favorite part of nature is photographing and writing about birds. She was inspired to volunteer at Hontoon Island State Park because she enjoys the scenery, especially in spring when the wildflowers bloom and birds are abundant. Lynn has provided birding programs to park visitors and likes educating the public on the beauty of Hontoon Island.
You can catch her at the park’s store where she volunteers every Saturday and Sunday assisting visitors and spreading the good news of Hontoon Island. Lynn greets every visitor with a smile and kindly helps campers gather everything necessary for an enjoyable weekend.
