Park Service Specialist, Celena Cline

North Peninsula State Park

As a lifelong Florida resident, Celena Cline couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. She started her Florida Park Service career as a park ranger at Tomoka State Park, Faver-Dykes State Park and Gamble Rogers before promoting to Park Services Specialist in 2016.  She has enjoyed participating in the many aspects of resource management which include: sea turtle patrol, exotic plant removal, restoration and prescribed burning.

A strong ally of conservation and habitat restoration, Celena was involved in the Smith Creek marsh restoration project at North Peninsula involving bagging oysters, deploying bags along the shoreline and planting native grass plugs in the site. She also was on the district three burn team, getting to travel to different parks and participate in the Florida Park Service prescribed fire program. She has always enjoyed working outside and finds her job very rewarding when she can improve the habitats of the wildlife that calls our parks home.
