Join Smokey Bear in celebrating his 80th Birthday Celebration! Since 1944, Smokey Bear has taught millions of Americans just like you about their role in preventing wildfires. Eighty years later, Smokey is celebrating a milestone birthday. U.S Forest Service, Florida Forest Service, Florida State Parks and Marion County Fire Rescue will on hand for this great celebration with some big wildfire equipment including dozers, brush trucks, engines, UTVs and more! Learn all about how prescribe fire helps reduce wildfires, the effects of wildfires and how you and help prevent wildfires. Special guest: Smokey Bear! Cake will be free to park visitors while it last, and ice cream available in the Sweet Shop. Special Smokey Bear's 80th Birthday swag will be available to purchase in the gift shop. The Rudy Wendelin Smokey Bear Portrait Tour will be on display in the Gallery from July 22nd through August 2nd.
