Testimonials for Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park
- "We spent 2 nights at the beautiful state park located on St. George Island. I loved it. Everytime we visit Florida we have to go to St. George. It is a very relaxing place. Fun little gift shops and not the hustle and bustle of normal resort area. RELAXING beautiful beaches. I would recommend it to anyone who needs some time away from big city life."

Steven Lee Voils Lee Voils - Lexington, KY - My family and I have been coming to St. George Island for over 34 years and I will say the St. George Island State Park is always very clean and the people that run the park are very nice. I love this island and will always come back every year!
KELLY RICHARDSON - Salem, ALABAMA - My boyfriend and I spent our Spring Break tent camping at St. George. It was wonderful, the beach was great, and it was very peaceful. Since it was off-season, all the stores/shops on the island were closed, so that sucked. Overall, it was the best camping trip I've ever been on, and we plan on returning to St. George Island to camp again in the future.
Blair O'Peterson - Macon, GA - My family and I went for Spring Break and the weather was nice. The water temp was 63 and a little cold for us, but the surf and sand was great. The kids had a great time building castles. The park personnel and facilities were excellent! The only draw-back was the no-see-ums, but they kept away when the campfire was lit. We had a great experience renting a boat from Journey of St. George...they took their time explaining all aspects. fyi...Coke products were hard to find at the restaurants; they only sold Pepsi.
Sylvia G. - Miami, FL - We stayed at St. George Island S.P. for Spring Break this year 08' and had the time of our lives. We saw an aligator, bald eagle, osprey, dolphins, and much, much more. Every morning I woke up and watched the sun rise over the ocean and it was the most peaceful, relaxing vacation that we've been on. We have two teenage children and there was plenty of fishing, hiking, biking, swimming to keep them entertained. I would definately recommend staying at this park. RP-Illinois
Ranelle Palmer - Northwest, Illinois - My husband and I spent a week at St. George Island State Park a week ago (5/25/09-5/31/09) and had such a wonderful relaxing time. The park is very well kept, quiet, beautiful, and clean. Its a very short drive or about 15 min walk to the beautiful beach and there are 2 different shelter areas with tables, grills, bathrooms, and outdoor shower. The island is really nice there are a few restaurants (we ate at the Blue Parrot, Harry A's, and Eddy Teaches and really enjoyed all of them), nice little shops, even a little grocery (do not use Express Lane, it is super expensive). If you are looking for a ton of action this may not be for you. But there are all sorts of rentals (bikes, wave runners, boats, kayaks, etc). I must say we had one of the best vacations we have ever had on this adorable little island. If you are looking for a relaxing location you will find it here!
