Just a short drive from Pensacola is the most relaxing experience on earth - a day at the beach! Sugar white sand, warm turquoise water and you and your family are the perfect combination.

Perdido Key State Park is the place to visit this fall. Cooler temperatures bring migrant birds. Shell collecting, sun bathing and other outdoor activities are great this time of year. Have an old-fashioned picnic on the beach or under one of the pavilions.

Spend the day at the beach and sleep just across the bay on one of seventy-five campsites offered at nearby Big Lagoon State Park.

Welcome to Perdido Key State Park

Barrier islands protect the Florida mainland from the harsh effects of storms and provide habitats for shorebirds and other coastal animals. Perdido Key is a 247-acre barrier island near Pensacola on the Gulf of Mexico. White sand beaches and rolling dunes covered with sea oats make this park a favorite destination for swimmers and sunbathers. Surf fishing is another popular activity. Boardwalks from the parking lot allow visitors to access the beach without causing damage to the fragile dunes and beach vegetation. Covered picnic tables overlooking the beach provide a great place for family outings. Located 15 miles southwest of Pensacola, off State Road 292.

Park Fees

Admission Fee:

$3.00 per vehicle. Please use the honor box to pay fees. Correct change is required. Limit 8 people per vehicle.

$2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.
