Welcome to North Peninsula
More than two miles of beautiful, unspoiled Atlantic beaches beckon visitors to this park. Across State Road A1A, this Florida haven shelters rare creatures such as Florida scrub-jays, indigo snakes, and gopher tortoises. Visitors can spend the afternoon swimming, sunning at the beach, or surf fishing. Bird-watchers will enjoy spotting the native and migratory species seen in this park. Located on State Road A1A four miles south of Flagler Beach.
NOTE: There is no mail delivery to this park. All mail delivery is through Gamble Rogers Memorial SRA @ Flagler Beach.

Florida state parks are open from 8 a.m. until sundown 365 days a year.
Driving Directions
Coming from the north, I-95 exit #284, turn left off exit and proceed east 3 miles to A1A, turn right and proceed 5 1/2 miles to Highbridge Road and turn right. Smith Creek Landing's entrance is about 500 yards west on Highbridge. Coming from the south, I-95 exit #268, turn right off exit and proceed east 5 miles to A1A, turn left and go 8 1/2 miles to Highbridge Road and turn left and proceed about 500 yards to entrance.

Our beach offers excellent surf fishing, while fishermen can also bank fish on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Hiking/Nature TrailsThe park offers a hiking trail that begins at Smith Creek Landing and runs 2 1/4 through the center park before looping back to Smith Creek Landing parking lot. |

Wildlife ViewingWildlife viewing is possible at the park. The park is on the "Atlantic Fly Way". The park is home to the endangered Florida Scrub Jays. Also pelicans, ospreys, and a wide variety of shorebirds can be spotted. The protected Florida Gopher Tortoise and the whitetail deer can be seen, as well as the elusive Florida bobcat. |

PHOTO CONTEST
Date: May 1, 2008 - 5:00 p.m., July 7, 2008
Description: North Peninsula State Park is having a photo contest. The photo contest will run from 8:00 am on May 1, 2008 until 5:00 pm on July 7, 2008. Participants will need to contact the park or pick up a photograph entry form from the park. There will be three different categories with a winner being selected, by park staff, in each category. The winner will receive a Gamble Rogers gift bag full of park souvenirs. The participant's photo's will also be put on the park's website. Remember photographs have to be taken in the park or from the park. Limit 2 photo entries per person. We wish you all good luck and hope you have a great adventure in the 'Real Florida!'
