Dan & Linda Lewis - Berlin, MD - We camped for the first time at Manatee in March 2006. The park staff were all great. The springs are great. Snorkel gear is a must. We brought bikes wich is great for the many trails. The camp sites are wooded and very nice. Lots of wildlife. The Suwanee River is a short trip from the Springs by canoe. We stayed three nights. The kids were having such a good time, we stayed and extra day.
W. Jeff Holland - Juno Beach, Fla - As a young girl, We spent many, many days and nights here. I have alot of great memories. I even learned to swim at Manatee. Now that I have my own child, I cant wait to show her the park too. Manatee Springs is great, lots to do and the pictures do not do it justice. My Dad and I use to catch 15 Brim Fish and take them back to camp and cook them. The sandy beach is really great for families and small kids. I use to put on a mask and chase the baby Flounders around on the bottom of the spring. Use to love getting the strawberry eclairs from the concession. Manatee Springs holds a very special place in my heart! Definately worth going!!
Susan Davis - Fernandina Bch, Florida - I visited Manatee Springs State Park in August 2007 with 15 youth as part of a youth camp that I conducted. Assistant Park Manager Bill Roberson gave us an excellent tour of the park, including a performance of the "Suwannee River Rap." Mr. Roberson obviously loves his job and he is an absolute treasure to the park. I look forward to my next visit.
Audrey Durr - Lecanto, FL - We spent the afternoon (May 2008) at Manatee Springs while staying at Fanning Springs State Park. Upon our arrival we were greeted by deer that were walking the wooded area near the spring. The spring is beautiful with its turquoise color; we snorkeled, floated and had a refreshing time. We also enjoyed the boardwalk leading out to the Suwannee River. I’m looking forward to a return!

Not very crowded when we went the weekend after memorial day. The camp sites at night were quiet and everyone camping was respectful of other campers. We would return.
Matt Wightman - Saint Petersburg, FL - My first time here was the last week of June 2009, I loved it!!! The Park Rangers were all very nice, the camp host 'Jerry' was totally awesome! I must say that the pics on the website do NOT do this place justice. It truly is an awesome park all around. While setting up camp, 5 deer walked right through our site, they let us take pics of them and were not concerned about us at all. Literally like 5 feet away. Never experienced that before, and they came through 3 times a day. Many Deer! I personally have never been to a Spring before and this one is very beautiful. I never thought 72 degrees would feel so cold, but once you jump in, it is well worth it! There was a place to Dock our boat during our stay, the whole park was very well maintained, the boardwalks are awesome too! I can't say enough good things about this place. I will say that I was a little disappointed that there was no food service at the 'Camp Store' and a lack of alot of things a camp store should have, but that is because of renovation during my stay. I most definetly recommend this park and I look forward to returning. Oh and I must say besides the Deer, the all around wild life was definetly interesting! Wait to you hear the Owls at night. Did I mention how cool the Camp Host Jerry was?? Can't wait to come back!!
Ted Birkeland - Citrus Springs , Florida - My family had a wonderful time at the park and plan to come back soon. The wildlife and springs were great. I Would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the natural treasures florida has to offer. The kids loved waking up to deer in the camp sight only a few feet away.
