Long Key State Park Volunteer Information

Do you love snorkeling, diving and fishing in crystal clear waters? Or, do you enjoy camping right on the beach? Then you may want to become a volunteer at Long Key State Park in the fabulous Florida Keys. Long Key is looking for summer volunteers for 2007. We have openings from May through October. Our volunteers are required to work 20 hours a week to receive a free campsite during their stay. The minimum stay is 6 weeks. Pets are now permitted in the campground. Volunteers at the park perform a variety of duties including bathroom cleaning, trash pick-up, maintenance, special projects and staffing the park office. If you are interested, please contact Rebecca Rabe at the park office (305) 664-4815 or e-mail rebecca.rabe@dep.state.fl.us.
