Fort Mose Historical Society, Inc.
This group is the recipient of the 2023 Citizen Support Organization of the Year Award for Historical Resources.
The Fort Mose Historical Society has worked hard alongside the Florida State Parks Foundation to secure grants to reconstruct the 1738 Fort, which will allow better interpretation of the Fort Mose story. Each volunteer has an immeasurable amount of historical knowledge and individual skillsets that allow the story of Fort Mose to reach the local community and beyond.
