Debra and Bill Welch's standout achievement involves the preservation and enhancement of the park's cultural heritage. Recently, a 3D relief painting by local artist Richard "Duke" Kintz was discovered in park storage. This team dedicated hours to cleaning and preserving the artwork, showcasing Silver Springs State Park's commitment to safeguarding not only distant but also recent past treasures.
