The waterfront protection team not only patrols the swimming area for any safety issues but they’re frequently the first point of contact for visitors in the day use area. Their positive attitude during busy weekends and holidays helps maintain a safe and fun environmental all summer.

Bruce & Brenda Dobbs
Bruce & Brenda are the recipients of the 2023 Volunteer Award for Teams in Administration.
After five seasons at Manatee Springs State Park, Bruce and Brenda had a new role by overhauling a filing system in a new office the rangers used. They helped document and fix re-occurring issues. With their experience on the point-of-sale system, they’re relied on to train new staff and volunteers.
