Steve Gard, Park Ranger
With 35 years of experience working with Florida State Parks, Steve makes it a priority to ensure that visitors have a positive experience.
Park Ranger Steve Gard has worked with Florida State Parks for more than 35 years. He started his career at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach, then worked for several years at Tomoka State Park until he was promoted to park ranger at Anastasia State Park.
Steve always knew he wanted to be a park ranger, even when he was visiting parks as a child. He has worked closely with many Boy Scout groups over the years and he loves being involved with programs and special events.
Ranger Steve provides a fantastic guided tour where he shares his knowledge of the natural resources and cultural history we have in the park. He loves sharing his knowledge of the history of the first settlers here in St. Augustine.
Ranger Steve makes it a priority to help visitors have the best experience when they visit a park.
We can count on him to bring a positive point of view to any situation. He is always ready to lend a hand and offer his help when someone needs it.
