Jacob Montgomery
Jacob is a Kentucky native and grew up near Louisville, home of the Kentucky Derby. He spent 13 years as an ISA certified arborist working in the arboriculture industry. Jacob moved to Florida in 2017 and started with the Florida Park Service in 2019.
Jacob fell in love with the job and park atmosphere instantly. When you visit Caladesi Island, you will most likely find him working on landscaping and maintenance. Jacob also enjoys roving interpretation and ranger-led trail walks.
When he’s not at the park, Jacob likes to hunt, fish, and read about local history and native flora and fauna. Jacob also likes to ride motorcycles, camp and hike.
