Snorkeling at St. Andrews State Park

One of the best snorkeling spots in West Florida, the rock jetty at St. Andrews State Park provides an opportunity to explore a Gulf reef.  Originally built to protect a shipping channel, the rock jetty also has become an artificial reef and a welcoming habitat for a vast array of marine life.

Snorkelers can see rays, angelfish, redfish, sheepshead, and octopus, as well as several species of coral, sponges and the other marine life. The waters around the jetty are also frequented by dolphins, giving snorkelers the chance to see them feed in their natural habitat.
