Testimonials for Honeymoon Island State Park
- I have been a pass holder for Honeymoon Island for almost all of my life. I am proud to say that at only 14 years old I have been to almost all of the state parks on this page. I don't think that any other state can compare to what Florida have just in it's backyard. Honeymoon Island has to be one of my favorites though. Not only is it home to some fabulous animal species but it's a beautiful place to lie around like a beach bum and soak up the sun! The passes are totally worth all that you find there. For any bird watchers out there, this is the place to find some gorgeous wading bird species.
Valesca Sailors - Palm Harbor, Florida - I visited in June and I must say that Honeymoon Island exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful! After visiting several other local beaches in the Tampa Bay area, this beach was by far my favorite. We brought home bags and bags of large seashells. Definitely a good place to go "Shelling". I plan on returning before summer's end.
Alma Gonzalez - Chicago, IL - There was an incident that made it impossible for any one to leave the park. For 8 hours the police would not let anyone cross the bridge leading out of the park. There were MANY people including young children, seniors and 60 bicyclers. The park staff and rangers were great, remaining cheerful and helpful the whole time. They gave the stranded motorists water, let people stay in the buildings after dark and kept areas open late to help out. I would recomend this park to everyone. The beach was nice and clean, and so were the rest areas.

We always make this island the center of our plans when visiting them. It is clean and beautiful with plenty of wildlife and scenery for everyone. I love it so much I am getting married there and cannot wait to return!
