Testimonials for Fort Mose Historical State Park

• The site of Fort Mose includes a kiosk containing a history of the place and a good boardwalk, which carries visitors out over the grassy marsh to a look-out deck. From the deck, one can only speculate just where the old place stood so long ago. Is it there, in that copse of trees? Or that one, maybe? The place is such a vista of peacefulness, it's difficult to imagine the violence that took place there. So, though no remnants stand for eyes to see and the park is small, yet I think it's important not to let development cover over this memorial to Florida's heritage.
