Testimonials for Fort Clinch State Park
- We visited the park in late July and were very pleased with the campground. The sites were shaded and the restrooms were clean. The tide marsh on the campground side facinated my young children. They were introduced to fiddler crabs and were able to see a large variety of birds. The beach was a fair distance from the campground area but it was serene and filled with a multitude of shells. We took a short drive to the mcgrady bridge and the kids got to see a huge sea turtle swim by and we caught a sting ray. This campground was a huge hit with the kids and the adults enjoyed it too. The mosquito spray is a must for this time of year. Enjoy,you won't be dissapointed.
Debbie Chapman - Orange Park, Florida - We were very impressed with the facilities at Fort Clinch. We happened to be there Labor Day Weekend 2006 and had the oppertunity to camp at site 9 next to the dunes and boardwalk. When we visited the fort, our son (college student 19 yoa) seemed to now take interest in this part of our history. He enjoyed the Living History and fort displays.
My wife and I plan to visit and camp several more times at this fine Florida Facility.
Richard and Donna Stokes - jacksonville, FL - We were at Fort Clinch (Beach Campground)this past Labor Day and enjoyed it very much. Was taken back to 1864 with the Living History and Sergeant George Berniger.
We returned for the Vererans Day weekend and the History of the American Soldier. Very moving.
We will spend Thanksgiving Week here also.
Richard Stokes - Jacksonville very much, Florida - We began visiting this park in the early 80's. Since that first visit, we have camped here many, many times. Each visit has been unique in many ways and wonderfully familiar in other ways. The park personell and the volunteers have always gone out of their way to be friendly and helpful in every way. The park aminities are always clean and in good order. The gated park makes for a safe and secure camping experience.

It was great, the place was clean, the staff very helpful, the fort was an excellent learning experience to get in on a vacation, and the waves for body surfing excellent! Ranelle Palmer - Northwest, Illinois - When I was a child my parents would bring myself and my 3 brother and sisters here to camp. When I married I began to bring my 3 children to the park to camp. Now I am bringing my 3 grand children here to camp. Thanks for all the years of enjoyment and keep up the good work. I hope I have maany more years with you and my grand kids get the chance to bring there kids here.
