Testimonials for Camp Helen State Park
- "My husband and myself heard about Camp Helen from a good friend of our’s who was raised in the area. A tour of Camp Helen turned out to be one of our most pleasant experiences ever. It is OLD Florida with a part of the lost heritage we look for. The beautiful trees, folliage, birds, etc. not to mention 3 different bodies of water. From the Lodge on the hilltop to the snow white beaches beyound - it is just a beautiful place to experience."

- Niceville, FL - My grandfather was an employee at Avondale Mills, and when I was seven years old living in North Georgia, I travelled with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins for a week-long visit to Camp Helen in 1960. I remember so much about the time I spent at Camp Helen - the walks to the beach singing "One-eyed Purple People-eater" with my cousins, playing in the camp, sleeping in the cottages, and going to the group hall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. It was one of the best vacations I had as a child, maybe for my whole life. I'm glad that it's being restored and hope to visit one day.
