Doug & Robin Clark - Palm Bay, FL - What a wonderful place to get to see the Manatee up close and personal, in their own natural habitat. It was fascinating to see these magnificent creatures somewhere other than a tank.
Scott VanBaaren - Kissimmee, FL - Our family of four visited the Blue Springs in April 2002 on our first trip to florida. We did the theme parks also. When I asked the kids which park they would like to re-visit they said Blue Spring. Great place!
philippe tregidgo - cornwall, england, - We have been to Blue Springs many times and always enjoyed it.We bring our boat and beach it on the shore. Butlet me tell you about one time My kids and I went swimming at the springs.
My wife dose not like swimming but it was so nice
she jumped in. She dose not like water over her head. But it was so clear she did not think it was that deep. She had a panic attack now there were no manatee in the swimming area when she first jumped in, but one swam under her feet and push her up to the ladder. I saw it happen or I never would never have believed it we found out that the manatee's name was Georgia.

magali DEACAL - Toulouse, FRANCE - I have been to Florida on several occassions, And i have always wanted to see the manatees, I was at Blue Springs on Febuary 4th 2007, There were 102 Manatees counted, It was the most exciting and interesting thing i had seen on my trips to Florida. The park was just beautiful, And i just fell in love with the manatees, I saw mothers and babies and Also adult manatee playing and romping, We were informed by a park ranger that they were not playing but mating and the pictures i had taken were XRATED... It was the high light of my trip. I just think there so sweet.

Belinda Mock - Massillon, Ohio - I live only 10 minutes from Blue Springs Park and consider myself lucky to have within close proximity such a lovely, large park. The spring run itself, with its boardwalk and overhanging foliage, its transperant waters and ferned banks is picturesque, the very heart of deep south beauty. It's not only the sight of the migrating mannatee that charm a visitor, but the way the park staff care for the animals and keep track of their health and offspring. My family and I have hiked the nature trail countless times. At times, it's been rather wet and marshy, due to heavy rains, but it's a fine trail; I enjoy it anew each time I visit it. I know I'll never tire of Blue Springs or its surrounding waterways, where we enjoy cannoeing, viewing the wildlife and imagining a time when only native peoples lived along its banks, long before the Spaniards ever discovered Florida. At Blue Springs, those bygone days are easy to picture. Thank you, always. WW
Wendy Wilson - Orange City, Florida - We just got back from a 10 day visit in the Central FL area. We saw the theme parks, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canveral, the beaches, Gatorland, Silver Springs. We shopped, ate, swam, took boat rides, hiked, explored, rode bikes, canoed, tried surfing, lots of activities. But all 7 of us (kids-13,10,6,3,7 months) LOVED BLUE SPRINGS STATE PARK THE MOST! We thoroughly enjoyed your beach, swimming, canoeing, hiking, picnicking and the St. John's river cruise. We thought this was the best part of the trip, and also enjoyed Wekiwa State Park too. Everyone was very helpful, friendly, and accomodating. Thank you so much!!
Suzan O'Dell - Merrill , MI - My husband and I stayed in cabin #1 for two glorious nights in mid-April 2007. The cabin was very comfortable and we were greated by 2 Pileated Woodpeckers near our front porch, a great welcoming committee.
We canoed the St. Johns River and took a day trip to Hontoon Island and had a wonderful time. The weekend was peaceful and we saw lots of wildlife as well as a very curious owl that perched itself on a fisherman's boat with the men still fishing-it was an amazing sight.
We will certainly be back and will try the campground the next time around. The springs area is just beautiful and the park staff are great. We love it there and are lucky enough to live close by. Thank you.

Agnes Armstrong - apopka, fl - We just returned from camping there for 3 days, and it was wonderful. We went down to the spring a couple of times a day, and got refreshed! It was so hot, but the spring felt fantastic! The website doesn't show that this campground has showers, BUT THEY DO!!! We weren't looking forward to showering outside in a makeshift shower, but they had them, and they were clean. We will definitely return to Blue Spring!
Denice Harvey - Sarasota, FL - Dec 2007 Loved it! Tent camped on site #19 with a bee-line to the restrooms & a short walk to the manatee viewing area. The park staff were very friendly & the camp was clean. Although sites are close they are separated by trees & brush providing nice privacy. Kayaked on the river & met a number of curious manatees. Make sure you make the 20 min. drive to Deleon Springs for the Sugar Mill pancakes.
SK Michel-Hall - Lakeland, FL - Just returned for a two night stay in the campgrounds. When we were checking in the park staff member ask if this was our first visit? when we said "Yes" she replied we were in for a treat. She was absolutely correct. We had the most wonderful visit, the park staff was friendly ,and helpful.
We saw a few Manatees.. although the weather was warm.. The Park was Beautiful ..the Campgrounds excellent..
We Both agree we will be back..
( We spent the wife's Birthday in the Park and she didn't even want to leave to into the city for supper, She says it's the best Birthday she has ever had :)
John & DJ Thomas - Lakeland, FL - We visited Blue Spring Park Feb 1, 2008. What a wonderful way to see what Florida is REALLY all about. My 4 & 6 year old children enjoyed learning about manatees and the chance to get some fresh air. We will definitely be back to this park, next time we plan to stay in one of the cabins and a tour boat ride on the river!!
In my opinion, the theme parks can't begin to compete with this state park!!
Mary Woodford - Redwood Falls, MN - We just got back from a 4 night stay in the campgrounds. The park was beautiful, the spaces were good size and staff was very friendly and helpful. Being up and close to the Manatees was a special treat.
THe only warning I would give is that the racoons are very agressive and bold so do not leave anything out and finish cooking early or they will help themselves to your dinner while you are still eating. THey can open coolers, picnic baskets and get into pop up trailers.
I would recommend this park to all campers and day visitors.
