Fishing
At Bald Point’s North end and Sunrise entrances, surf fishing and wading out to oyster bars is a popular pastime.
There is also a small fishing pier located in the park where Bald Point Road terminates at Ochlockonee Bay. This is located in the area known as the North End Entrance. Among the varieties of saltwater fish found in the brackish tidal waterway are redfish, trout, flounder and mackerel.
Visitors may fish on the bridge over tidal Chaires Creek off of Range Road, and in Tucker Lake, by canoe or kayak. Sea trout, red fish, flounder and sheepshead are common catches. This is also an excellent area to cast net for mullet or to catch blue crabs.
