Now recruiting AmeriCorps members for our January 2007 program year.
Florida State Parks AmeriCorps looks for motivated individuals who are willing to commit themselves to a term of service on a local level. Our members represent a diverse range of educational, economic and cultural backgrounds. People with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Applicants must meet the minimum selection criteria. This is:
- Age 17 or older; United States Citizen, national or lawful permanent resident
- High School Diploma, GED equivalency, or commitment to earn one of these prior to using the Education Award.
Team Positions
- Florida State Parks offers full time team member positions (11 months/1700 hours) that are filled in January of each year.
- Occasionally, we offer part time, six month positions that are filled in June.
- AmeriCorps Teams are based out of one central park location and serve on projects throughout the district.
IP Placements
- State Parks AmeriCorps also offers IP positions to qualified applicants. These specialty positions include Resource Management, Volunteer Outreach, and Environmental Education. For a more information can be found in the detailed list of site specific activities.
