Recruitment Information
AmeriCorps Florida State Parks looks for motivated individuals who are willing to commit themselves to a term of service on a local level. Our members represent a diverse range of educational, economic and cultural backgrounds. People with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Applicants must meet the minimum selection criteria, which are:
- Age 17 or older; United States Citizen, national or lawful permanent resident
- High School Diploma, GED equivalency, or commitment to earn one of these prior to using the Education Award.
- All members are subject to national criminal and sexual offender background checks.
Team Positions
- AmeriCorps Florida State Parks offers full-time team member positions (11 months/1,700 hours) beginning in January of each year.
- Occasionally, we offer part time, six month positions that start in June.
- AmeriCorps Teams are based out of O’Leno State Park in High Springs, Florida and Wekiwa State Park in Apopka, Florida and serve on projects throughout the state.
Individual Placement Positions (IP)
- AmeriCorps Florida State Parks offers Individual Placement (IP) positions to qualified applicants. These specialty positions include Resource Management, Volunteer Outreach and Environmental Education.
