FLORIDA STATE PARKS RECEIVE MEDIA EXCELLENCE AWARDS
--Recognized in four categories by the Florida Recreation and Park Association--
WESLEY CHAPEL – Florida State Parks recently received four Media Excellence Awards at the annual Florida Recreation and Park Association conference in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The awards recognized individuals or groups who have significantly increased public awareness of parks, recreation and leisure services programs through audio/visual, electronic or print media.

“Florida’s award-winning state parks combine nature-based recreational activities with educational programs, and do an amazing job of advertising that to the public,” said Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Colleen M. Castille. “I am thankful for the hard work and dedication that helped create media products that have been recognized across the state for their excellence.”

Florida State Parks were presented two awards in the audio visual/electronic media category, and two in the print media category. The Florida Park Service was recognized for:
