Park Ranger, Emily Simpson

Collier-Seminole State Park

As one of our new staff members, Emily brings with her National Park experience.

Florida native Emily Simpson hails from the Palm Beach area. With previous experience with the national parks involved with the turtle patrol at Padre Island National Seashore, Emily brings a passion for the outdoors. Her love of nature and a keen interest in having a chance to make positive contributions to the environment is what brought her to work for the Florida Park Service. Developing creative and interactive nature programs is on the top of her to-do list. Also on her punch-card is to gain experience in resource management, especially prescribed fire and invasive plant species control. Emily is a true people person. She is always gracious and welcoming to campers and park visitors.

Emily says the Gulf coast is very different than the Atlantic coast. She chose Collier-Seminole State Park for its opportunities to explore scenic trails while observing the diverse wildlife. Being not too far from the city of Naples is a plus too!
