Cody Peters, Park Manager

Cody Peters, Park Manager

From a young age, Cody has developed a passion for the outdoors and maintenance of equipment because he was fortunate to be raised in Florida State Parks. Cody officially donned the park ranger uniform 14 years ago and has worked at various parks across the state.

His first ranger position was at Florida Caverns, and in 2010 he moved to Gold Head. He was then promoted to park services specialist at Sebastian River and quickly promoted to assistant park manager for St. George Island. Before stepping into his current role as park manager for Alafia River State Park, he was assistant park manager for Fort Clinch.

Cody's experiences have allowed him to expand into community involvement and creating future leaders. While moving around the state for various positions, his wife, Bethany, and their children, Jacob and Clara, have been able to experience many opportunities that have enriched their lives greatly.

In his free time, Cody enjoys camping and spending time with his kids teaching them the importance of healthy ecosystems.
