Lance Kelly, Park Manager

Lake Talquin State Park is a great place to spend the day enjoying the great outdoors. The park offers numerous recreational opportunities and is located just a few miles west of Tallahassee, Florida. Well-shaded by dense forest trees, this park is a pleasure year-round. A walking trail along the banks of Lake Talquin gives hikers a chance to immerse themselves in nature. Deer, turkey, bear and alligators are just some of the wildlife that could be seen while visiting the park.

I was raised on Lake Talquin and I often find myself reliving my youth catching catfish and bream from the park’s fishing dock. The park also has a large picnic shelter with adjacent grill pavilion that is available for use and can be reserved for events. Be sure to book early as this shelter is highly sought after!

There is a little something for everyone at Lake Talquin State Park, so plan to visit and spend the day with us.

If you have questions about the park, wish to reserve a pavilion or inquire about our numerous volunteer opportunities, please call the Tallahassee-St. Marks administration office at 850-487-7989.

I look forward to seeing you in the park!
